We design, install and repair all irrigation systems with conservation on the forefront of our minds. Our systems and the repairs that we make to other system allow for even distribution of water, eliminating the opportunity for water to be wasted on sidewalks, driveways, and other areas that do not require watering. We also help our clients program their systems to go off in the early morning, when minimal sunlight helps to prevent evaporation and less wind keeps water from being blown away.

Yes. For instance, sandy soil generally requires more frequent watering in lighter levels of intensity. A soil that is rich in clay can be watered less frequently, but for a longer duration. Tri County Services Inc.’s specialists always assess your lawn’s soil, slope, and other important factors before coming up with the appropriate design and proper programing.

Your system will do all the work for you. It will place the exact amount of water needed that is programmed in your controller for your landscape beds, trees and turf. You will not have to spend any of your spare time moving a sprinkler around your yard, dragging hoses or standing out in the hot sun for hours. You will no longer need to have family or friends take care of your lawn, flowers or pots while you are away.

If you are already watering your lawn on a regular basis, you will use less water than you currently do. This is because your lawn will now be watered with the exact amount you choose and timed not to over water. We offer WiFi Smart Controllers too, which will change the run times, days watering etc., based on live weather data.

Most start-ups are typically done in April & May (weather permitting). However, when the temperatures at night no longer fall below freezing, it is safe to start up your system. Below freezing temperatures may cause damage to your sprinkler system. You can either chose to start up your system yourself or contact us to schedule a spring start-up appointment.

Do not panic. With a couple of simple steps, you can protect yourself (temporarily) from early freeze damage. 1. Turn off the water to the system in your basement (or crawl space). 2. Open the drain after the shut off in the basement, or right outside after it comes out of the wall. 3. Turn the (2) test port screws (on the side of the backflow) horizontal to allow the water to drain from the unit.

Yes, provided that there is room on the transformer. When Tri County Services designs a system, we always leave at least 15% on the transformer for future expansion or lamp changes due to plant growth. Also, fixtures can be relocated with ease as the landscape or other activities dictate. If your system currently has incandescent (Halogen) lamps, you could potentially free up 80% of space in your transformer by simply switching your lamps to LED’s.
